Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Concinnity LLC ("Concinnity," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Raytime mobile application (the "App"), a focus and productivity app. It applies to the App only, and not to any other product or website.
Information we collect
Information you give us
Account information. Only if you choose to create an account or sign in, including through Google Sign-In. This is your email address, a display name if you set one, and an authentication identifier that keeps you signed in. The App is fully usable without an account.
App content. The tasks, notes, steps, plans, focus sessions, and preferences you create. These are stored on your device. If you are signed in, they are also stored in our cloud database so they reach your other devices.
Support correspondence. If you email us, we keep the message and our reply.
Information collected automatically, only with your consent
Usage and diagnostic data. App interactions, device model, operating system version, language, app version, and crash reports, collected through Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. This collection is off until you turn it on. You are asked once, before you start using the App, and the switch starts in the off position. You can change your answer at any time in Settings, Privacy, and withdrawing takes effect immediately.
Where this data is linked to an identifier, it is a value derived from your profile identifier and is used to measure how features perform, not to identify you personally.
Information processed on your device and never sent to us
Voice. If you dictate tasks, speech is turned into text by your phone and the audio is discarded. We never receive, store, or transmit a recording. If your phone has no on-device speech model, the App asks separately before using Android's online recognition, which sends audio to Google under Google's own privacy policy. That setting is off by default.
Calendar. If you allow it, the App reads today's events on your device to judge how much room your day has. Calendar data is never stored by the App, never transmitted, and never modified. The permission can be withdrawn in your device settings.
Profile photo. Stored as a location on your device and deliberately excluded from sync.
Information we never collect
We do not collect your location. We do not collect health data. We do not read your contacts, messages, or browsing. We do not use an advertising identifier; the permission for it is removed from the App entirely.
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. We receive only confirmation from Google that a subscription is active.
Cloud assist and artificial intelligence
The App breaks tasks down and interprets what you type using logic that runs on your phone. That is the default and it needs no network connection.
If you have an active subscription and you switch on cloud assist in Settings, Assist, then the text of what you are capturing is sent to Google's Gemini model through Firebase AI Logic so it can be interpreted more accurately. This setting is off by default and can be switched off again at any time.
- Only the text you are capturing at that moment is sent. Your task history, your account, your name, and your email are not.
- Google processes it as our service provider, under the Firebase and Google Cloud terms that apply to our paid use of the service.
- Nothing is sent when the setting is off, and nothing is sent while you are signed out.
No decision with a legal or similarly significant effect is made about you by automated means. The App suggests how a task might be broken into steps and what order a day might run in. Every suggestion is a suggestion: you can edit it, reorder it, ignore it, or delete it, and nothing follows from it beyond what appears on your own screen.
Why we process your information, and our legal basis
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR and the GDPR require us to tell you the legal basis for each purpose.
| What | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Tasks, notes, plans, focus sessions, preferences | To provide the App you asked for | Performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) |
| Account email, display name, authentication identifier | To keep you signed in and sync your content between your devices | Performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) |
| Subscription status from Google Play | To give you the features you paid for | Performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) |
| Usage analytics and crash reports | To find out what is broken and what is not used | Consent, Article 6(1)(a). Off by default, withdrawable at any time |
| Text sent for cloud assist | To interpret what you captured more accurately | Consent, Article 6(1)(a). Off by default, withdrawable at any time |
| Audio sent for online speech recognition | To transcribe dictation on a device with no on-device model | Consent, Article 6(1)(a). Off by default, withdrawable at any time |
| Abuse prevention, app attestation, service integrity | To stop our paid services being used by software pretending to be the App | Legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) |
| Responding to a rights request or a legal obligation | Because the law requires it | Legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c) |
Where we rely on consent, refusing costs you nothing: every part of the App that does not need the service in question keeps working exactly as before.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising.
We use a small number of service providers, who process information on our instructions and for no purpose of their own:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, App Check) for your account and for syncing your content.
- Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics for usage and crash reporting, only if you have consented.
- Firebase AI Logic and the Gemini model for cloud assist, only if you are subscribed and have switched it on.
- Google Play as the seller of subscriptions.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
International transfers
Concinnity LLC is in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States and in other countries. If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, that is a transfer outside your own region.
Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, and the UK Addendum to them for transfers from the United Kingdom, as incorporated into our agreements with Google. You can ask us for more detail about the safeguards using the contact details below.
How long we keep it
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Your account and its content | Until you delete it. Deleting your account removes your content from our database and then removes the account itself |
| A task you delete individually | Removed immediately. What you wrote in it is erased; a marker without content remains so that the deletion reaches your other devices |
| Content on your device after you sign out or uninstall | Removed with the App. The App does not back up to Google Drive; automatic backup is switched off |
| Usage analytics, if consented | No more than 14 months |
| Crash reports, if consented | Around 90 days, per Firebase Crashlytics |
| Text sent for cloud assist | Not retained by us. Google may hold it briefly for abuse monitoring under its own terms |
| Support email | Up to 24 months after the matter is closed |
Your choices inside the App
- Get a copy of your data. Settings, Privacy, "Get a copy of my data" produces a file containing your tasks, steps, plans, and settings, which you can save or send wherever you like. It is available to everyone, including on the free tier.
- Delete one task. Open the task and use the delete action. What you wrote in it is erased.
- Delete everything. Settings, "Delete everything" removes your content from our database and then deletes your account.
- Turn collection off. Settings, Privacy holds the switches for usage reporting and online speech; Settings, Assist holds the switch for cloud assist.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK
You have the right to access your personal data, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that already happened. Several of these are available immediately in the App, as listed above. For anything else, contact us using the details below and we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to your data protection supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EEA it is the authority for the country you live in.
If you are in the United States
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to obtain a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to appeal a refusal. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. We do not use personal information to profile you in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Exercising any of these rights will never result in a worse service or a different price.
California residents may also contact us to ask about the categories of information collected and disclosed in the past twelve months, as described in this policy.
How to exercise them
Email privacy@concinnityworks.com. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you, which usually means replying from the address on the account. We do not charge for this.
Security
All network traffic is encrypted in transit, and the App refuses unencrypted connections outright rather than relying on a platform default. Access to your synced content is restricted to your own account by server-side rules, and requests are attested so that software pretending to be the App is refused. Your content is stored in your device's own protected storage, which your device encrypts while it is locked.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
The App is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Google Play Data safety
This policy is intended to be consistent with the App's Data safety disclosure on Google Play. Where there is any inconsistency, we will correct it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes are posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and where a change is significant we will tell you in the App before it takes effect.
